Jubilant July - Well, it will be, if you know what's good for you?

Before we endeavour to get Jubilant, consider these...
What makes you happy?
Are you getting enough of what makes you happy?
What/who is getting in the way of your happiness?
and finally...Who is responsible for your happiness?
These questions should help you understand where you are at the moment and what, if anything, needs to be different in the future.
You may well have heard of the following. I find it a really straightforward, realistic (if you do it properly!) and a helpful way to focus on the things which matter to you.
No matter what your values are, this can be tailored to your wants & needs, providing incentive, challenge and motivation to succeed.
It's the STOP, START & CONTINUE challenge.
As with all goals, if they are not important enough to you then they are likely to be unsuccessful, so only add items you really want to STOP, START & CONTINUE.
Before you begin, be clear about why you are doing this and why it is important to you, then be as specific as possible.
Example below (you might want to write...why it's important to me...next to each commitment to give it more power)
STOP
Procrastinating about what I am going to do with...
Saying I could, I should, I might and probably.
Saying what's wrong.
Looking for problems.
START
Taking one step at a time to resolve...
Saying I will.
Saying what's right.
Looking for solutions.
CONTINUE
Not worrying about things which are out of my control.
Focusing on the things I do well and strengthen them.
Asking for support when I need it.
Finding out what makes me happy.
These are potentially big commitments, so don't feel you need to accomplish them all at once.
What do you want to go after first which will make a larger contribution to your happiness?
And the answer to the question...
...Who is responsible for your happiness?
It's your good self, of course.
See you in August!
